RYAN CHARLES JACOB

Ryan is an emerging theatre creator with a passion for all aspects of theatre. His recent work includes working with imitating the dog on their adaptation of Frankenstein, as a Production Assistant, and then returning as an Assistant Stage Manager for a few days of their week in The Lowry. 

Ryan also works as a Multi-Skilled Theatre Technician at Middleton Arena, where he works in various capacities from Operating Sound and Light for Dance shows, to being the Sound Technician for their pantomime Jack and The Beanstalk in Christmas 2024. Ryan’s experience also includes Set Design, working as a Lighting and Sound Technician, Acting and Assistant Directing.

In 2022, Ryan began setting up his theatre company Shakesqueer, where they performed a sapphic version of Shakespeare’s classic Romeo and Juliet entitled Romea and Juliet. Ryan adapted the script, co-directed and acted alongside two talented theatre makers Emma Worthy and Layla Hopps at Stoke-on-Trent pride.
